My Travel Story

My name is Hunter, and this journey is about rediscovering who I am outside of routine, noise, and expectations.
 
I spent five years in the Army, and I’m grateful for the discipline, work ethic, and perspective it gave me. But service became momentum — always forward, always pushing — and somewhere in all of that, I stopped asking myself what I actually wanted from my own life.
 
So I’m choosing to go find out.
 
This campaign supports Season 1 of “Hunter and Red’s Excellent Adventures” — a journey across the North and South American continents with my closest companion, Red, my German Shepherd. I want to give him a life few dogs ever get to experience: mountains, oceans, jungles, deserts, and the open road. And I want to learn who I am while traveling beside him.
 
We start in Tennessee, down to Florida, then across the U.S. to San Diego. From there, we head into Mexico, through Central America, and all the way down to Argentina, eventually reaching Brazil. Then we return north, spend some time on my family’s land in Washington, and continue through Canada and into Alaska.
 
This isn’t about running away from anything.
It’s about stepping toward something — challenge, simplicity, responsibility, and presence.
 
I want to feel small under big skies.
I want to meet people whose stories I’d never hear otherwise.
I want to learn, not from screens or hearsay, but from the world itself.
