On the 1st July 2018 I will be flying out to Swaziland, South Africa for 2 weeks. I have joined a volunteering scheme that helps young, under privileged children in Swaziland to improve their quality of life. I will be working in the heart of communities in the Ezulwini Valley, assisting local staff with projects supporting impoverished children from the communities.  The activities are located at 7 pre-schools which are funded by the project and coordinated with local community leaders.  These centres welcome children who are orphans, or whose parents are unable to work or on a very low income and are identified by the community as needing support.  The project goal is to provide children with access to early year’s education at safe centres, where their nutrition, education and development needs are addressed. I have also chosen to focus on a sub-project of sport, helping the children with teamwork, fitness and to having fun.  Sports addresses confidence building, fine and gross motor skill development, team games, football, hula hooping, skipping and swimming. To fund this trip I need to raise £2000, this is to ensure that this wonderful project can carry on with their brilliant work in helping under privileged children. To help raise this money, along with other fundraising events I will be doing, I have decided to do a sponsored horse ride. I have found a route that is 42miles long from Tathall End in north-east Buckinghamshire to Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire. This is the width of Swaziland and will take me over 8 hours to ride. I hope that you will be able to help me on this journey and donate any money you can to my cause or even share it around amongst friends and family, anything will help!

Thankyou Blossom x
