My Travel Story

In 2009, when I was nine years old, my dad had a stroke. My mom did ever so well in taking care of the family while my dad slowly recovered. Over the years, my dad recovered enough to take care of himself almost entirely! Except, no one would hire him, because he became kinesthetically slow, lost his ability to write and to speak fluently.

Fast forward, I moved from my home country, Ghana, to Preston, UK, to work to provide for our family's increasing needs. My dad had several relapses, which became very critical, that I had to return home to aid in his health. He is well and going strong.

This fundraiser is to aid in recovering my travel expenses which I spent on overwhelming medical expenses to bring my dad back to full health, so that I can return to the Preston to work for the family and, hopefully, further my education.
