I have been living and working in the Czech republic for the past 2 years and I have witnessed how life is so different from my native Canada. I want to be able to help children in any way I can, and after researching several volunteer opportunities, the one that inspired me the most was The Cambodian Children's House of Peace. Its an amazing organization that truly wants to help orphans in Cambodia.
The Cambodian Children’s House of Peace (CCHP) is a registered Non-governmental Organization (NGO), located in Siem Reap, location of the World Heritage Site, Angkor Wat. The CCHP serves poor children, primarily from Siem Reap Province, the largest and poorest of the country. Some of our children are orphans or abandoned, many have a single mother, and some with both parents, but who have many other children, face hunger and lack of schooling.
