My Travel Story

Hey everyone!
I'm Morgan Young, a junior at Lousiana State University on a Occupational Therapy track. I am majoring in Kinesiology Human Movement Science with a minor in psychology. This July, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Costa Rica for a two-week medical mission trip. I’ll be joining a team dedicated to providing healthcare, support, and education to underserved communities. I have always had such a special place in my heart for helping others, especially in the way of healthcare. I am very passionate about this project because I want to be able to make a difference in this community. I want to form connections that I will never be able to forget. 

This experience will be an important step in my future to becoming an occupational therapist. It will deepen my understanding of patient care, improve my communication and teamwork skills, and give me real-world insight into how healthcare systems work in different cultural settings. It’s a chance to grow both personally and professionally. I truly believe it will help me become a more compassionate and effective therapist in the future.

Lately, I have felt a strong sense that God is calling me to step out in faith, and this mission trip feels like part of that calling. I believe that He is asking me to go, to serve, and to be present for others in a way that reflects His love. I am eager to see the positive impact and God's work during my time there. Beyond offering healthcare, I'll have the privilege of serving as a child of God, sharing compassion and support in any way that I can. 

To make this journey possible, I need to raise approximately $4,000 to cover essential aspects of the trip, including medical supplies, travel expenses, and care resources. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to serving others in a meaningful way.
