My Travel Story

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/ Mental Health Therapist in the state of Florida and would like to apply my skill-sets in an underserved country, such as Jamaica.  My trip would be for the purpose of giving back to indiginous peoples and in countries with poor social welfare and health/ well-being infrastructure. 

The purpose of the trip would be to assess the mental health needs of the people in the community who are unable to afford such services or have no health care/ insurance.  Your funding help will allow me conduct the assessment, find a location to perform care and finance my temporary living expenses over a period of 6-12 months.

Preliminarily and on a basic level, many people in the area of St. Ann Parish, had stated to me unequivocally, their need for mental health care.  I had the opportunity to also observe many people in the general public there, to be in need of mental health care.  Please assist with this very needed and worthy project.  Thank you in advance.
