Dear  Donator,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you with a humble heart and a sincere request. My name is [Your Name], and I am a 73-year-old grandmother and great-grandmother living on a small pension in South Africa.

My eldest granddaughter, whom I love dearly, is getting married in France on the 6th of September. This is a momentous occasion for our family, and it would mean the world to me to be there to witness her special day, to celebrate with her, and to give her my blessings in person.

Unfortunately, due to my financial situation, it is impossible for me to afford the cost of a return air ticket from Cape Town to France. Despite my deepest wish to attend, my limited means make it an unattainable dream.
