My Travel Story

I've always been intrigued by different cultures and ways of life around the world, and this volunteer project to live and work with a remote Maasai community in the Makuyni region of Tanzania is the perfect opportunity.

I love to travel, but often find that I feel purposeless after about a week or so. Volunteering abroad helps to provide an alternative experience that is rewarding and always teaches me something new. This opportunity will allow for me to provide assistance to the community through my educational outreach experiences and knowledge in animal/wildlife care. However, I think that the people I live and experience this project with will teach me the most. This is an opportunity for me to slow down from my fast paced life, reconnect with people, and appreciate a different way of life.
