Making a Change Across Borders: My Volunteering Adventures
My Travel Story
As a second-year university student, I’m on a mission to make a real difference in the world, and I need your support to make it happen. I’m planning a volunteering journey across Nepal, India, Fiji, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Kenya, Tanzania, Morroco and Mauritius—11 countries where I’ll be working directly in the education and healthcare sectors to help communities in need (and with your help more countries would be possible too or even make some projects sustain for the long-term).
The goal of this trip is simple: to use my time and skills to make a lasting, positive impact on some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. But in order to make this happen, I need to raise funds to cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and the materials necessary to support the education and healthcare projects I will be involved in.
Why This Matters to Me:
My Passion for Volunteering: I’ve always believed that education and healthcare are the building blocks of any community’s success. By supporting projects in these areas, I can help create opportunities for people to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. As a university student studying medicine, I’m eager to gain hands-on experience in these fields while making a real impact on the ground.
Why These Countries? I’ve carefully chosen these countries because they face significant challenges in education and healthcare. In places like rural Nepal and Kenya, children are often unable to access quality education, and many communities lack basic healthcare services. From providing school supplies and teaching resources to helping improve healthcare access in remote areas, I know I can contribute to projects that will make a lasting difference.
Making an Impact in Education and Healthcare:
In education, I’ll be helping children in underserved schools, assisting with teaching, tutoring, and providing resources where schools lack materials. I’ll also be working with local communities to promote educational access for girls and other marginalized groups.
In healthcare, I will be supporting efforts to improve basic health services, such as providing health education, assisting with sanitation projects, and helping raise awareness about preventable diseases. In places like rural Cambodia or the Philippines, basic healthcare services are limited, and I want to help ensure people have access to the care they need.
