My Travel Story

I'm a returning student pursuing a degree in Anthropology. After almost 13 years in healthcare and dental, I am working towards a career change that aligns with my passions. I am strongly interested in Indigenous tribes and their historical use of medicinal plants and entheogens. I am planning a trip to Peru to experience the culture and see the world from a different lens. I plan to focus my studies around South America, and this opportunity will allow me to explore various anthropological areas. 
This trip will contribute to fulfilling some of my goals, including...
-Working alongside and learning from local plant healers in rural areas of South America
-Immersing myself in Peruvian culture to understand their dependence on plants for many aspects of life
-Supporting Rainforest protection and Indigenous Peoples' Rights, especially regarding land & Religion
-Volunteering on-site internationally in support of sustainable agriculture and permaculture in the Amazon    Rainforest
-Providing me with a broad range of knowledge to apply to my academics
