My Travel Story

Hello!


My name is Samantha, and I am a senior at University of Houston in the field of Hospitality and Tourism. My career goal is to become a corporate event planner.

I chose this field because, above all else, I enjoy learning and understanding the various cultures of this world. Language is a unifying factor that brings individuals together; understanding language is a key component to understanding culture. As a result, my goal is to master a second language – Spanish.

Learning a second language is most effective when immersed in the culture. Currently, I can understand Spanish, but still am not fluent in conversation.  The Sol Education Abroad program (http://www.soleducation.com/spain) will help me accomplish my goal. This program includes tuition, full room and board with a host family, excursions and more.  The tuition covers 6 courses and includes an intensive Spanish language course.

While in this program, I will provide you updates of my journey in both Spanish and English. Please help me accomplish my goal. Thank you in advance for your support.
