Since the day I tossed my graduation cap into the air, a lingering question has haunted me: Did I make the right choice in pursuing my college degree? In a world where the allure of traditional education seemed to be fading, doubts crept in. But it took a year or two for the fog to clear and for me to realize that I had indeed chosen the right path. It happened when I couldn't shake the haunting image of plastic trash suffocating our rivers and oceans.

Initially, I consoled myself with the thought that serious organizations were already tackling this colossal issue. What could someone like me, jobless and fresh out of college with no savings, possibly do? The weight of inaction pressed upon me. However, a transformation occurred within me, one that whispered that every small action held the potential to create ripples of change. I understood that I could no longer stand idly by.

And so, with determination burning in my heart, I embarked on a mission to contribute to this noble cause. My destination? Communities that had initiated efforts to rescue our precious oceans. I vowed to volunteer, to gather valuable data on their ongoing work, and perhaps even use my newfound coding knowledge to aid in their endeavors. My journey had to begin at home, for it is said that charity begins there.

Why is this mission so crucial to me? It's because my love for the ocean runs deep, coursing through my very being. I yearn for everyone to have the opportunity to witness the enchantment and magnificence concealed beneath the surface of those saline waters. It's a treasure trove of mystery and beauty, and I believe that preserving it is not just a responsibility; it's an act of love and a gift to future generations. And this does not consider the significance of the ocean to human well-being.
