I'm Kia and I have two young, wide-eyed adventurers, Emily and James. This family has endured countless hardships, from cramped shared accommodations to scraping by with just enough to survive. Now, we yearn for an opportunity that transcends our daily struggles—a chance to embark on a transformative journey, connecting our heritage. My grandparents came to the UK as part of the Windrush generation and as a second and third generation caribbeans we have never been able to visit the tropical paradise of our heritage. This trip will not only provide invaluable educational experiences but will also serve as a catalyst for personal growth, resilience, and cultural appreciation. It is a chance for these young souls to expand their horizons, broaden their perspectives, and foster a sense of belonging.
