My Travel Story

My next personal prayer is to the mountain to let me again next to her and allow me to experience her beauty in fullest and farewell me safely back home. Me and our group!

We wanted to visit Nepal with one goal – Himalayas, furthermore Ama Dablam 6812m, that we had to postpone several windows or 2 years already and this autumn is happening despite all the setbacks. We are doing it and starting on 14 October till 15November 2022 !!

My name is Stefan Vatev, movement lover, enthusiast cyclist, passionate rock climber, keen alpine skier and mountain lover. I seek adrenaline in my fields that I would want to expand, still mountains gave me the best in my life so they are sufficient. And no doubt about that I am son of my father Jeko Vatev who is one of the greatest, considered as the living legend, in mountaineering field in my country – Bulgaria. He has been twice above 8000m – almost to the top of Broad Peak 8051m, summited Cho Oyu 8188m, he has climbed to the 3 most beautiful peaks in the world, or 4 from top10 - Matterhorn, Alpamayo, Ama Dablam (first Bulgarian), Denali, Aoraki, Kilimanjaro, Khan Tengri … well they are a bit more of 4 and this is just of the beauty side of his success.
It was always hard for me to follow him till if found that passion for myself and now I am self-driven and I want to take as much as possible of his experience and knowledge that to be passed down the generation. It will be great expedition and I feel blessed to share all the emotions with him and the rest of the group.
We are group of 6 with 2 ladies on of them is child pediatrician.

The video is of our previous expedition in 2019 on Khan Tengri peak 7010, Me (the orange jaket) my father, my cousin Grigor Vatev and the girl. Yes mountains and extreme sports is the kindred.

Mountaineering is expensive endeavor and I would kindly ask for some financial support to cover some fields and add lacking equipment.
Most of all I would like to buy a suitable camera to film my perspective and finally to make a video of the expedition. Gopro 10 is great option, but GoPro MAX 360 will make unique shoots that could show the angle of the slope and let everybody sees and experience a bit what actually is out there. The rest of the received support if any, will be used for the hole group needs.
I will be great full if somebody could lend me such equipment for the upcoming expedition.
