My Travel Story
Hi! I'm Hassan — born and baked in the tropical heat of the Maldives, where the sea is blue, the coconuts are plenty, and... the salaries? Let’s just say they wouldn’t get you far beyond the beach.
I did my schooling in India, came back to my homeland full of dreams. Fast forward to now — I’m 34, grinding away as an IT guy, trying to keep systems alive on a salary that can barely keep my social life alive.
The Plot Twist: I Met a Girl
Somewhere along the way, Cupid must've had Wi-Fi — because I met this amazing girl from London. And now I want to go see her, get to know her better, and possibly turn her from "the girl" into "the wife" (no pressure though, right?).
But here’s the thing: while love may be free, flights and Airbnb sure aren’t.
The Mission: A 2-Week UK Adventure
I want to take 2 weeks off from fixing printers and resetting passwords to explore the UK — and hopefully build a future with someone special. I’m aiming to raise 5,000 USD, which will cover:
Flights from Maldives to London (not in first class, don’t worry)
A place to sleep that’s not a park bench
Local transport (unless teleportation gets invented soon)
Food (because as much as I love tea, I can't survive on it)
Emergency buffer in case of unexpected expenses or emotional breakdowns in the London rain
Bonus: Maldivians don’t need a visa for the UK, so that’s one hurdle already cleared.
