My Travel Story

From a young age I've always loved Japan, I had Japanese exchange students in my class in elementary school and I became intersted in the language and culture, I read every book in my school about Japan. I started to learn the language at age 18 and I graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs as the second person to get an independent study in Japanese language and culture, I can read write and speak Japanese and I know Kanji as well. After college I left home and struggled and had to put off my dream of going to Japan, Currently at age 33 I haven't given up on my passion for Japan and I did some research and I was able to invest in a TEFL course. I also had a virtual interview with someone from a school in Japan who told me Kyoto needs foreigners in Japan who speak English, so my goal is to get some help studying in Japan to learn business Japanese. I chose Kyoto because I love the nature and history of the city and that it is known for Geisha and Kimono.
