My Travel Story

This trip would be a way to celebrate my sobriety and the progress I've made to heal from the trauma I've experienced in childhood as well as the 8 years I spent living on the streets. I've had my throat slit, broke both my arms at the same time, been physically/emotionally abused then abandoned by everyone that ever said they loved me including family, I've been raped/molested by people who said I could trust them, and lived in fear for 8 years. I have overcome an intravenous heroin and methamphetamine addiction and a fentanyl addiction. I have died numerous times from my use, developed numerous life threatening abscesses, and had cellulitis and mersa. The decision to get sober and face the emotions I've suppressed with the drugs has been extremely difficult.and there were several times I wanted to give up and hide again, but I never did. I fight every day to beat my demons, but it is worth it. This vacation is a reward for everything I went through and the struggle to overcome my circumstances. I am finally found peace and beauty in my life and I would like to visit somewhere equally as beautiful.
