Volunteering Nepal
My Travel Story
This childhood wish of mine has come true, and I have already visited three Sub-Saharan African countries as a volunteer, participating in various projects, ranging from construction work to agricultural activities.
This time, in March, I will be in Nepal, Asia, with Wheeling to Help (https://www.wheeling2help.com/).
Nepal was hit by a devastating earthquake in April 2015. The deadly earthquake destroyed all 240 homes in the village of Takure in the Sindupalchuk region. Since January 2015, Wheeling to Help, in collaboration with the local organization Conscious Impact (https://www.consciousimpact.org/), has been providing support to the local community, including coffee and avocado cultivation, as well as rebuilding orphanages and homes for seven years.
This year, I will be with them with the goal of raising funds and volunteers to build more homes and empower the local community, farmers, and children in the school and orphanage.
