My Travel Story

Hi everyone, thank you for reading my story. I came to the UK for a visit but a month later, COVID hit us and the world was locked down. During this dreadful time, I gave birth to my daughter Taylen in July 2020, with minor issue of her size at birth and my visa expired as well. Due to several restrictions and reasons, I did not return back to South Africa at the time and the UK allowed me to renew my visa but sadly this took more than 18 months to be approved. I only received my residence permit on 28 July 2022. I was not allowed to leave the UK because it would have cancelled my application with immediate effect. I could not go home and I have not seen my children or family since February 2020. I was not allowed to work or do not have access to any public funds. Taylen has not had the privilege to meet her family back home, we have been in isolation for so so long. With only my partners income and providing for everything here it is extremely difficult to save for our ticket back home. With the UK hitting an ultimate low, cost of living is not easy.  I need help, we need help. We need to go home! I have application dates and proof of everything that i have mentioned. Please help us!
