My Travel Story

My boyfriend and I want to embark on a road trip across the USA. We come from a country and community where traveling is a privilege and we want to learn and see what is out there in a country that speaks a common language, yet has so many alternative cultures to learn from. We both have post graduate degrees, but would like to meet different people and find our belonging individually and together. Going off on our own and figuring it all out as we go, with minimal planning and expectations is a huge learning curve and something we would never be exposed to in South Africa. Instead of taking the traditional route of studying and going straight into work - we want to grow, learn and experience while we are still young. We have saved money working smaller jobs at home and would like to raise more in order to gain the best experience possible. Memories are everything, experiences are invaluable. This will be our next ultimate step in being our best possible selves. We want to meet new people, gain a different form of problem solving ability, adapt to a stronger sense of independence, responsibility and respect for others and overall make lasting memories and stories to tell our future generations. We want to pass on our lessons, but we need help to execute it.
