This trip is an opportunity to make a difference in the families' lives in the British Virgin Islands after devastating Hurricane Irma in 2017. I will be working to help rebuild their homes and along the way learn more about their community. I chose this destination because I felt this is a recent issue that needs my attention, rather than just going on any trip. I had also had the opportunity last year to build houses in Nicaragua, and I loved that whole experience, and I have now become very passionate about helping others and learning about different places and cultures. I would love to have the opportunity to experience this again!
