My Travel Story

Learning Spanish is a very important goal of mine! I would love to be able to connect with others of different cultures and broaden my perspectives. I am hoping that this trip increases my fluency enough that I can communicate effectively with my boyfriend's parents, who only speak Spanish. I would also be able to finish my minor, which would put me ahead of a lot of my classes. As a science major, that would free my schedule for many of the classes I may not be able to take otherwise.

The location I chose is also extremely important to me. Costa Rica is a highly biodiverse country, with many opportunities for work in Public Health and Environmental Advocacy. I really hope to connect with some programs outside of my college, and continue to support them after I return home.

Ultimately, this is an opportunity that I can never replace. I don't have the funds to commit to it right now, but I hope that with your help, I can go on this amazing trip and develop my interpersonal communication and education goals.
