Escape from Egypt
My Travel Story
I made a decision to come to Egypt in search of a better life for myself and my family. With the help of a family friend, I entered into an agreement with a travel agent. However, I didn't fully understand the terms of the agreement. I was promised a stipend of 300 pounds per month, but I didn't realize the currency difference and didn't ask enough questions about the job or its requirements.
Since arriving in November, I've been working around the clock, 24 hours a day. It's been four months now, and the toll on my health is becoming unbearable. To make matters worse, the Egyptian government has imposed a mandatory fee of $1000 for Nigerians who want to live here. Most of us can't afford this fee, and the consequences of not paying it are severe. Many Nigerians are being arrested, and walking freely is no longer safe. There have been cases of sexual assault and even death.
I desperately need your help to pay off my agent so I can leave Egypt. They are holding my passport, and I can't leave without it.
I'm willing to provide any proof you need to verify my situation. All I ask for is the chance to return to Nigeria and regain my freedom. Please, I beg of you, help me escape from this country at all costs.
Thank you for your consideration.
