My Travel Story

Hi, my name is Sydney Harrison, I want to go on a service trip next Summer, but I cannot afford it, I have been looking at 3 choices, one at the BVI, Costa Rica, and Peru. I am a straight A student, who has a job, plays 3 sports, is in 3 clubs, and volunteers lots of time towards community service. I play tennis, golf, and swimming, I am very good at tennis and it has given me lots of good work ethics and character traits. I am currently in the Service Club and the Enviorthon team at my school, and soon I am going to be inducted into the service honor society. I want to go on this trip so I can help animals, or people in need, I have applied for a schlorarship through the program, so I don't know which one I will be given a schloraship to. The trips will get me service hours and help further my college applications, I want to be a marine engineer and study at the Naval Academy, it is very hard to get into so this trip will help. I am passionate about this project because I am fortunate to not be in a sitaution like the people of Costa Rica, but I want to do everything I can to help them get into a better situation. I also am very passionate about ocean conservation because I have always grown up with my life centered around the ocean, and I couldn't imagine what my life would be liek without the ocean enviornment. I chose these trips because they would immerse me into other cultures while meeting new people, it would completely transform my life, this trip is meaningful to me because it has been my dream for years now, I am old enough to go, but I unfortunately can't afford it even when I am saving all of my money. I would love it if you would donate to help me fund my service trip.
