My Travel Story

Hi! My name is Ashlyn, I am headed into my 5th year of college at Purdue Fort Wayne! I am working full time at a local factory third shift as well as attending school. I have been studying Spanish language, as well as Criminal Justice. I have always been passionate about different cultures, languages, and travel. I am planning on studying abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica in January of 2022 for the spring semester. I will be attending the Latin University of Costa Rica. This trip will be one of the most important things that I do in my college career. It will advance my proficiency in the Spanish language, immerse me in the culture, and give me a better understanding of the language.. I will be staying with a local host family so I am able to be fully immersed. I am so excited and grateful for this opportunity and to learn so much from the experience.
