Hello everyone,
 
I'm reaching out to ask for your support to help me visit my beloved Grandma Temina in Kakamega. She is 95 years old and has faced many challenges throughout her life with a resilient spirit. It’s been over four years since I last saw her, and I miss her dearly. We recently spoke over the phone through her neighbor, and hearing her voice filled my heart with joy. She was so happy to talk to me, and she said she misses me a lot.
 
My goal for this visit is not just to reconnect with her but also to help make her life more comfortable. I would love to upgrade her small hut, build a safe and dignified pit latrine that can also be used by her neighbors, and get her a new bed, mattress, refurbish her kitchen and bedding to help her rest well. If the funds allow, I also hope to improve her home to ensure it’s as cozy as possible, and buy basic food items and household essentials to make her daily life easier.
 
Grandma is a hardworking woman who loves staying active, so I also plan to build her a small chicken coop and get her some chicks to raise. She knows how to care for chickens naturally, and this would give her a chance to stay busy, provide for her own needs, and even earn a little income.
 
Despite her age, my Grandma is full of life, always smiling and giving to others without hesitation. Even if she has just a little, she’ll share it with anyone in need. She’s a kind soul who helps her neighbors by caring for their children when they need a hand, and in return, they support her by fetching water and helping with chores. Her spirit of generosity and joy is something that inspires everyone around her.
 
By helping my Grandma, you’re also helping the small community around her. Your support will bring her comfort, dignity, and a smile that lights up her entire village.

I have compiled the total expenses in the local travel expenses description.  Which amounts to $880
