Hi My name is Lauren, and this is my campaign. I am asking your help to make a dream come true. I have a true passion and interest in our primates. These inquisitive animals are smart, beautiful, interesting and majestic. Everything about them intrigues me, especially there similarities to humans. I couldnt think of a better way to study and understand this species than volunteering in conservation and rehabilitation and to find out exactley the hard work and sacrifices that people make to help and presevre this species, aswell as protecting them from poachers.

My choosen location is in south Afica, at a wildlife reserve dedicated to bringing back to health primates and other wild animals that are injured in the wild, or rescued from the pet trade, injured by poachers, other animals or just general accidents in the wild.  The team of professionals bring them back to health before releasing them back into the wild. Unfortunatley not all animlas are released due to injuries that could get them killed so instead they are givin a replicated habitat, during my visit i will have to fix enclouses, clean enclosure and build new ones due to over population and need for expansion, i will prepare food and provide around the clock assistance in feeding times, also assisting in the younger animals. i will assist in vet care but most importantly educate myself on the need to have sanctuaries like this and understand the importance of leaving these primates in there natural habitat. I hope to be able to gain enough knowledge and understanding in the great work that happens around the world that so many of us are ignorant to and be able to educate others on the need of such places as this and how important it is to assist and sponsor, so these projects can maintain and keep all wildlife from extinction.

This will be my first experience and i hope not my last. Im an inquisitive person and primates have always been a big interest of mine and so now is the time to follow that dream and attempt to make it a reality with your help. In the process i plan to set up a blog page and update it often with photos and a day to day diary so that all my friends and family and sponsors can follow me in my adventures, and hopefully feel apart of it.
