I want to expand my knowledge of animals: I love photography so I am excited about that. Meeting new people and experiencing different cultures through food, housing, and environment.
Seeing how other students and teachers come together with the Galapagos Island communities and how they differ from the U.S. will definitely change my view!
I know that this will improve my education, expand my learning/knowledge, and something that I can pass on to family, friends, and even my community.
It was brought up by my science teacher during our scheduled class. I learned along with my parents, the activities, who is involved in this project, why it's important to be involved, and how it helps not only me but the Galapagos people.
I've lived in a tourist town (Juneau, Alaska) so I know how it goes! The wildlife, the waters, marine/boats, ziplining, and just the love of animals with all of those different activities/learning tools; it makes learning fun!
