My Travel Story

Ever since I was eight years old, I have possessed an interest in the French language.  When I started taking French classes during my sophomore year of high school, I discovered my love for the French culture as well.  Now I am at Purdue University on track for a minor in French alongside searching for whatever chance I can get to travel to Francophone countries.  Last spring break, I participated in a week-long study abroad trip to Paris that made me fall in love with the city, transforming my interest into a passion.  I am currently applied for another study abroad trip, but this time lasting six weeks rather than one.  An extended stay in the country will not only assist my French comprehension and fluency, but will also allow me to gain a more in-depth appreciation and knowledge of multiple aspects pertaining the French culture.  I yearn to constantly dive deeper into such a vast ocean of the rich and historical culture that originates from France, and that passion sparked with my eight year old self learning how to say "Je m'appelle."
