The Story
My name is Joseph Morris. I am an American citizen and an entrepreneur who has spent the last 18 years building a life and a business across Europe. For the past two years, Djursholm, Stockholm, has been my home—the place where my business, my belongings, and my community are rooted.
Recently, my life took a sudden and traumatic turn. I am writing this to ask for your help in returning to the life I spent nearly two decades building.
The Ordeal & Official Verification
After a series of difficult events, I was detained by Saudi Arabian authorities in Riyadh from September 14, 2025, until November 5, 2025. I have included an email in my gallery from Anthony S. Abate, the Vice Consul at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, which confirms these dates and my safe return to the United States. Following this two-month ordeal, I was sent to New Orleans, Louisiana, where I am currently receiving necessary medical treatment to recover from the physical and emotional toll of this journey.
Why I Need Your Help
While I am safe in the U.S., I am stranded far from the home I built. My heart and my livelihood are in Sweden, and I am eager to return to my business and my stability. I have set a fundraising goal of $5,300 to cover the critical costs of this relocation:
• International Airfare: A one-way ticket from New Orleans to Stockholm.
• Relocation Logistics: Essential baggage fees to bring my remaining belongings home.
• Safety & Transport: Transportation to and from airports during this medical transition.
