My Travel Story

Within my month this summer in Thailand and Laos, I am ecstatic to bring my passion and love for helping others to a place that sparks an interest in me like no place on Earth. Being in this place will impact both parts of my degree plan (anthropolgy and media arts), as my long term goal is to make anthropoligcal documenteries within this region of the world. This part of the planet flourishes with culture and tradition that I crave to learn and understand, and embracing my love for learning things outside of what I know is something I want to start young. Within the communities I am going to be serving in, I plan on helping this community in both agricultural aspects, and their goal to learn the English language. Though one month may be a time that some people believe "isn't long enough to make a difference", I believe that any time in any place where the goal is to help and benefit others makes a difference, and during this trip I plan on making differences in the lives of my team, the people in that community, and myself.
