Help Olivia: Recovery from Surgery and a Dream to Fulfill
My Travel Story
My name is Mauricio Diaz, and I am a father of two wonderful children: Olivia, 1 year old, and her older brother, 3 years old. Today, I am reaching out to this amazing community for support during a challenging time for our family.
A few weeks ago, while playing together, Olivia had an accident that resulted in a fracture in her leg. She had to undergo surgery on her tibia, and thanks to the doctors, the operation was a success. However, the recovery process has been long and costly, and there is still more to be done.
Currently, Olivia is healing with a cast on her leg. Once it is removed, she will need physical therapy sessions to regain full mobility. These sessions are crucial for her to walk and play like any child her age.
Additionally, after this challenging process, I would love to fulfill a small dream: taking Olivia and her brother to see the ocean for the first time. I believe it would be a beautiful experience for them and a symbolic way to close this chapter of resilience and recovery.
Unfortunately, our financial situation has been difficult. I was unemployed for several months, leaving us with significant debts. Although I recently found work, we are still struggling with medical expenses and other basic needs.
This is why I am here asking for help. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a huge difference for my family. Whether it goes towards Olivia’s therapies, medical bills, or helping us fulfill her dream of seeing the ocean, we would be forever grateful.
