My Travel Story

My kids and I are going to Ghana to explore and learn about the liberation movement there. We will be going to W.E.B. DuBois' house that he lived in and look at some of his original manuscripts. I think this will be an impactful and inspiring trip to learn how this country was able to liberate themselves from Britain. I am hoping that being in the same space that DuBois once lived in we will be able to tap into some of his brillance and legacy. i can take this expereince back with me to the U.S. and help heal my community by reminding them how important it is to fight against oppression. I can inspire others to go to Ghana to see how happy they are and how powerful this experience is in understanding how lucky we are out here.
