My Travel Story

This trip is meant to help the members of an Akwa Ibom community that is in darkness most of the time.  It is meant to bring steady light to the homes and steady running water due to water pumps being electrically driven.  The members of the community are struggling to do daily tasks such as cooking and bathing because of this. We will build on this project because the community and surrounding communities need more help due to the economy having severe issues currently.  Starvation is happening. So while I am there, will be giving donations to the local organizations to help feed the community.  I will help as meny people as I possibly can while being able to make it back home safely to prepare for the next helping trip.  I love people and need to know that more people are able to eat and maintain daily life. I chose this destination because I have interviewed many people from many areas and this one in particular touched my heart. The village people work hard and come home to not be able to eat and have a shower.  It takes it's toll on the people and some don't make it or are rendered unable to maintain themselves.  My mission in life is to help people.
