My name is Gianna Hernandez. I am a first generation college student, attending ASU online through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. I am honored to have an opportunity to attend school while working at Starbucks, and I want to use this opportunity to the fullest. I have always wanted to study abroad, and I feel now is the perfect time. I am studying criminal justice, and I feel it is so important to see other perspectives, other ways of life, and other cultures to expand my understanding of others and positively contribute to the criminal justice system. I chose these two destinations because of the programs they offer. Both locations are commended for their criminal justice education, and I would love the chance to learn there. I have never been outside of the United States, and an experience like this is something I would cherish forever. The knowledge I would learn is something I would use in my career and everyday life moving forward. An opportunity to go abroad would mean everything to me. Thank you for reading!
