My Travel Story

A bit of background about myself- I have been in the medical field professionally since I was 17 years old (I did some personal volunteer work prior to that). I first started as a nursing assistant, then in 2012 graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Bemidji State University. I currently hold multiple certifications- Advance Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy and I am Nationally Certified in Oncology Nursing. 

At Bemidji State University I was honored to be the Vice President of the Student Nurses Association; and while in that Association we did a multitude of volunteer work- which I miss tremendously! 

I would now like to share the gifts I have learned throughout my 12 years of being a Registered Nurse and in the Medical field and apply them on a Medical Mission trip...... to GUATEMALA! 

On this Medical Project, I will be working with local doctors in small local clinics for the poor, providing check-ups, providing wound care, administering injections, performing blood draws, assisting with physiotherapy, and providing basic medical care in low-income communities. 

This trip means alot to me and I will need prayer, thoughts, childcare support, and finincial support from friends and family in order for this trip to happen and be successful.
