Hello,
I am a rising junior with a B+ average at the French-American International School in San Francisco. Outside of school, I am giving back to my community through Center Force Youth Court as a Youth Attorney. I am also a scholar in the A Better Chance program, which identifies and supports academically talented students of color who demonstrate a propensity towards leadership. It is very important to me to continue my educational opportunities into the summer time, while also having fun. Last summer, I was accepted into a three-week academic program at Yale University.

In addition to volunteering as a Teen Wild Guide at the Oakland Zoo and working part-time, I have recently been accepted to L’Academie De Paris, a prestigious 4-week summer program through Oxbridge Academic Programs (July 3- 31). L’Academie De Paris is held at a top independent school in the heart of Paris, which offers immersion into French language and culture. I have been taking French for the past two years at my school, and one of my educational goals is to be fluent in French by graduation. This program aligns with my life’s path and educational goals. Spending a month in Paris studying French culture is an amazing opportunity that not all students my age are able to take advantage of.

The total cost of the program including my airfare comes to $9695. After a partial scholarship, a generous sponsorship from StudySync (www.studysync.com) and money I was able to save; I have an outstanding balance of $1695. I'm seeking donations in order to help cover the outstanding cost of my tuition.
