This all started when I realized I was terrified of the dark. I got myself to go to a public ghost hunt which just got me extremely interested and slowly destroyed my fear over time. When I started to research, I found out how many historical places all over the country needed help to be preserved and restored. These buildings are absolutely beautiful. There are so many with stories from the past. Once I realized there are people all over buying these buildings, restoring them, sometimes living in them, and opening them back up to the public, I started to make a list of everything I want to explore one day. Whether you believe or not, I have been into some of these places in the Midwest and as they say, "these walls will talk to you if you listen." And they do! I have the recordings to prove it!
       I am very passionate about traveling to each place, documenting the building, and what goes on inside, because i have these places to thank for "bringing me back to life". I was put on a medication that screwed up my head, shut me down socially and emotionally, and destroyed who I knew myself to be. The people who knew me during this horrible time in my life, could not believe how excited I became at each venue. It was a turning point for me to realize that I needed to get off the Medication and take my life back. So I did, and what I want to do now is raise awareness to the public that these buildings should be saved and NOT torn down. There is an "underground community" that communicate and work together to Save these Old Properties. Now, at this time I can not afford to buy one myself, so the next best thing is to document. And I do so for many reasons such as entertainment, to raise awareness, my own personal video journal, and more. I have even brought people to these places to experience the activity inside, and some have even left saying it has changed their life in a positive way. No longer am I scared to walk into the dark alone. 
      Now some of this may sound silly to some of you, the haunting part of you don't believe and that is fine. It's why this whole road trip has so many different meanings to it.
