Taking my mum to Australia isn’t just a holiday to me it’s something that sits right in the centre of my heart. Growing up I was a really sickly child always dealing with health issues that meant she had to sacrifice so much, including her own dreams of travelling. She put her entire life on pause for me without ever making me feel like a burden. Now that she’s getting older and won’t be able to travel in a few years time the urgency hits even harder. I just want to give her something beautiful back to finally give her a moment that’s hers, after a lifetime of giving everything to me. Taking her to Australia would feel like i'm giving her a piece of the world she once gave up for my sake.
