My Travel Story

Well, I've done volunteer before, but never quite like this!
I'm travelling to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe to volunteer in a program dedicated to wild life preservation. 
The program provides the oppourtunity to branch my skills as a veterinary technician into bigger and better things (literally). 
Days in clinic at home are filled with every different variation of dog and cat breed you can think of. I even have the opportunity to work on large animals like cows, horses and farm animals if I choose to. But Lion's? Elephant's? Rhino's? Never! 
I'd love to have the oppourtunity to see these animals (and more, don't worry photos will follow) up close, learn about their behaviour, treat them for injuries, and utilize my skills in a different way. 
This opportunity does not come often and can seem far fetched to many, but I'm focused on making it a once in a life time experience!
My goals for this trip are to enjoy it, and learn from it. Enjoy the work, culture, and people that are to come with it, and learn as much as I can in the short 2 weeks I am there.
