Hi, my name is sharon. I went to the Dominican Republic for my senior year of high school, it was amazing! I learned so much and had a great time while doing it. I got to explore the different cultures and experience the different foods. I also got to learn their language. When I got there I was living on a small farm, I would ride my bike to a small town called para daro. It's a small town made up of mostly children and the elderly. They didnt have water, so my boyfriend and I helped put in a water system and now they have clean drinking water in their town.most kids dont even have clean clothes or drinking water or even know where there going to stay that night. I would like to go back and learn more about the culture and the way of life. I would like to go and help build homes for the family's living on the street and help give people clean water or a pair of new shoes or a meal or a nice place to sleep for the night. So if you can help that would be very appreciated. Thank you!
