We are seeking your support and generosity to fulfill the last wish of my mother, a wish that is closely tied to a poignant chapter in our family's history.

My mother's final wish is to visit the grave of her brother. To understand the importance of this wish, I'd like to share a brief but moving part of our family's story. During World War II, in his teenage years, my mother's brother was forced to flee Yugoslavia. My mother is from a mixed marriage, with a Serbian father and a Croatian mother. During the war, her father was tragically executed by the Croatian Ustasa regime. Faced with the impending danger, my mother's Croatian mother had no choice but to escape to Serbia with her three small children, leaving behind their home.

My mother's brother, a teenager at the time, was constantly at risk, with danger coming from all sides, including the Communists, Ustasa, and the Nazis. In a desperate bid to save his life, he embarked on a journey to escape, first to Australia and then to the United States. From 1942 until the present day, my mother has only seen her brother three times, despite their strong bond and continuous phone contact. Their last meeting took place 18 years ago when he visited us for the first time.

Regrettably, my uncle passed away before my mother had the chance to say her final goodbye. His last wish was to reunite with his sister, a wish that went unfulfilled due to our inability to gather the necessary funds for my mother's trip.

Now, my mother is approaching 90 years of age, and her ultimate wish is to visit her brother's grave. Unfortunately, we are not in a financial position to cover the expenses for this trip. This is why I am reaching out to people of goodwill for help and support. We kindly ask for your assistance in the form of a small donation to make this long-awaited reunion possible.

Time is of the essence, as my mother's health is beginning to decline, and we fear that this might be our last opportunity to fulfill her wish. Your contribution, no matter how modest, will bring immense comfort to our family and help create a lasting memory that we will cherish forever.

If you are willing and able to assist, please consider making a donation. Your generosity will make a significant difference in our lives, and we will be eternally grateful for your kindness.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering our request. Your support means the world to us, and it will enable my mother to find closure and peace in her final days.
