Hey Guys!

To celebrate my completion of 13 years of schooling I have made the decision to take a major leap outside of my comfort zone and will be traveling to Borneo on a schoolies volunteer trip FOR TEN DAYS!

So why Borneo? Those that know me will know for many years now I have had my heart set on traveling overseas and volunteering my time to help out in communities and learn about different cultures and their ways of life.

I feel so truly blessed every day for the life I have been provided and constantly find myself forgetting just how privileged I actually am. This is why I am stoked with the opportunity to give back and explore the greater world through a little program called schoolies unearthed, in December 2020.

On this trip I will get the wonderful opportunity to:

- Experience the village lifestyle amongst the world’s oldest jungles, playing with the village kids and learning the local language.

- Be involved in a sustainable community project (in past years they have built school canteens, renovated classrooms and set up solar panels etc.)

-  Visit the world famous orangutan sanctuary, seeing MY FAVOURITE animals up close and in person whilst learning about conversation efforts.

-  Travel by boat to the world famous Bako National park, exploring, sleeping overnight and keeping a look out for the local wild life.

- Hikes to waterfalls, beaches and through local rainforests

- Experience the city life of Kuching, trying out new foods (btw I’m a tiny bit fussy so we will see how this works out)

I will also be setting aside some money for donations while I’m over there and talking to my trip planners about how to donate and who to donate too.

I am super psyched for the lifelong experiences to come and would love you’re support with this fantastic adventure to come.
