Hi, my name is Brandy, and I live in Canada. I personally rescued Bella and Toby—two beautiful souls who survived heartbreaking abuse in Uganda. Their story is one of pain, survival, and hope—and now, I’m fighting to bring them to their forever home in Canada.

Their Rescue
After discovering Bella and Toby being exploited by scammers, I made it my mission to get them to safety. I spent weeks building trust, convincing the abusers to surrender the dogs so they could finally receive real help. With no one else willing to step in, I found a certified veterinarian in Uganda who bravely agreed to go and retrieve them.

Bella had been intentionally dragged behind a vehicle, used as a prop by scammers to collect donations while she was left in agony without treatment. When we found her, she was suffering from a spinal cord injury, lumbar trauma, and infected wounds from dragging her legs.

 

Thanks to emergency care and ongoing physiotherapy, Bella is making a miraculous recovery—she’s gone from not walking to nearly running.

 

Toby’s Journey

Toby endured over a year of neglect, passed between scammers, all while suffering from a painful tumor and infection. He never received treatment until now. Since rescue, Toby has started chemo, and he’s responding well—he’s finally on the road to healing.

My goal is to fly Bella and Toby to Canada, where they can begin their new lives full of love, care, and safety. But international rescue is costly. Every treatment, every overnight stay, every travel document has added up—and now we face the final challenge: getting them home.
