My Travel Story

As an aspiring ESL Teacher (Teaching English as a Second Language) being able to go on this trip to Barcelona, obtain my certification for teaching English abroad, and immerse myself in the local culture would be immensely helpful in supporting not only my career, but my education by allowing me to access a broader breadth of knowledge than I previously had. Teaching, and especially teaching ESL, is one of, if not the best way to give back to both the communities that supported you and the ones that are in desperate need of support. I’m incredibly passionate about trying to pursue this going forward in order to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people when we stand at such a divisive crossroads within America and the world. The trip that initially inspired this in me was to Costa Rica where I gained an increased sense of awareness on the world and it’s people. I would love for nothing more than to be able to spread helpful and almost crucial knowledge in learning such a dominant world language like English. My own passions for traveling, meeting people, and experiencing what the world has to offer also factors into this. This opportunity would mean everything to me, and I would absolutely carry it with me both in my professional career and personal life.
