Hello! My name is Jesette! I am a current 3rd Year Sociology Major at UCR! One thing my mom taught me is that we have to take every open opportunity as it is not always given or offered. So I applied last November through UCR and UCEAP and after writing, meeting with my advisor, choosing classes, planning, reaching out for recommendations and manifesting. I have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity to study in Glasgow, Scotland at the University of Glasgow this upcoming fall toward my overall degree!! While I was given this acceptance there are many worries and realities that come into play and one of those constant worries even as I attend a 4 year now is finances. I have received a scholarship and do work as well, but know it will not be enough to get me through. While I do not ask for much, anything helps just for basic needs while I am over there. Me and my mom will be working as hard as possible to get me housing and other educational costs. If you could donate anything it would be truly appreciated and I promise will be used wisely!
