Studying women and religion in Los Angeles offers a unique opportunity to explore how women from diverse religious backgrounds navigate faith, spirituality, and gender in a city known for its cultural and religious diversity. As a woman, this research can be personally meaningful by helping me understand my own spiritual journey while amplifying the voices of women who are often marginalized in religious spaces. LA’s progressive, activist-driven environment provides a backdrop to examine how women are reshaping spiritual leadership, combining faith with social justice, and creating inclusive communities. My study can contribute to empowering women, promoting solidarity, and advocating for gender equality in religious practices, making a lasting impact on both myself and the community.
