I'm looking at trying to raise money to visit Hawaii during the week of Thanksgiving.

Hi, my name is Melissa. I've spent my entire life childhood and adulthood being subjected to abuse both mentally and physically.  This will be the first year in my entire life where I've broken free of that cycle. Unfortunately, because I've broken free of my abusers, I have no family to spend holidays with.

At first I have to admit that I was sad about it, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that I can spend the Holidays traveling and being thankful that I lived to tell the tale. I now get to tell the world, hey I'm not a victim of child SA, I'm not a victim of attempted strangulation, I'm not a victim of attempting to un-alive myself from narcissistic emotional and physical abuse, I'm not a victim of burglary and assault... I'm not even a survivor. I'M A FREAKING WARRIOR! I've gone through all of that and more and I'm here to tell my tale, I no longer allow myself to carry the burden of being told that the abuse was my fault.

I do hope some of you will read this and help me out. I know I'm not going to volunteer or have some study abroad or work abroad, but I'm wanting to do this for me. For once in my life I want to look after myself first.
