My Travel Story

I'm Jess and I am 20 years old from the UK. I am currently travelling around South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. While travelling I have had the opportunity to experience many different cultures and ways of living. I have also met some amazing people who have so many different stories. Some of these people have spoken about how rewarding it is to volunteer whilst travelling, and that has inspired me to do so too. 

We are so lucky in the UK to have access to the basic necessities in life. I have chosen to work in Rio De Janeiro in Brazil, with young children who have grown up in the Brazilian favelas. These children have been brought up in areas of Rio with high crime and drug rates which are constantly rising. I will be helping out in childcare facilities with babies and young children from these favelas, aiming to provide a safe and happy place where they can spend time.

  • Yorkshire Three Peak Challange

    My friends and I are going to be climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks when we return to the UK to raise money for the young children in the Brazilian favelas!
