Hi everyone! This February, I’m embarking on a two-week volunteer journey in Cape Town, South Africa, where I’ll be supporting early childhood education and after-school activities for underprivileged children in low-income communities. I’m reaching out for your support to help make this impactful experience possible!

What I’ll Be Doing:

In my first week, I’ll work alongside local teachers at a large childcare center dedicated to providing high-quality education and care to young, underprivileged children from nearby farms, villages, and communities. By helping to create a safe, nurturing environment, we’ll support these kids in building essential skills and self-confidence that can positively shape their futures.

For the second week, I’ll be volunteering at an afterschool surfing program that gives children from disadvantaged neighborhoods a chance to learn to surf—an exciting activity that encourages them to stay engaged in school. To participate in the program, students are required to attend, behave, and do well in school, so surfing becomes a powerful incentive to support their education. This program provides structure and an opportunity for the children to spend their afternoons building confidence, learning new skills, and having fun in a positive, constructive environment.
